Paris Miles is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She studied under the strict instruction of Dance Theatre of Harlem Alum, China White for 25 years. She has performed as a prima ballerina in countless shows. Paris enjoyed performance experiences in: Annie, The Wiz, Lion King, Opening for Debbie Allen in the debut of the Original Chocolate Nutcracker, Amistad, and countless other shows. She trained in NYC & San Francisco at Alonzo Lines and Broadway Dance Center.
After twenty-five years of study with TSDA, Paris lost a dance mentor, Darlene Hart. The passing of Darlene would spark a vision for a production highlighting domestic violence in dedication to Hart. Events following the show led Paris to continue on with a new vision and mission, bringing For The Love of Dance to life. To date, Paris has directed and produced: Dance Your Hart Out 1 (which raised awareness for women and domestic violence), Our Voice Our Story, Life is a Dance About Courage, Dance Don’t Speak It’s Timeless, Dance Your Hart Out 2, Fifth Year Masterpiece, Reach Rise Dance, For The Love of Life (which raised awareness for Opiate Addiction) For The Love of Humanity, Dance Your Hart Out 3, A Celebration of 10, Culture, Color, Love and now A Journey of Dance.
She acknowledges the collaboration of a committed staff and creative team. Paris knows she couldn’t carry out the FTLOD mission without their efforts. Additional experiences and training include: Dance Instructor at ScholArts Preparatory, Paris holds a Bachelors in Business Administration, and her MBA. Aside from teaching dance, Paris is certified as an International Health and Wellness Coach. She also holds several certifications in Emotional Intelligence.
