On June 21 and June 22, 2025, our hearts were full, our spirits lifted, and the stage came alive once more as For the Love of Dance proudly presented For the Love of Humanity 2 — an unforgettable celebration of movement, storytelling, and human connection.
As the lights dimmed and the music began, the room was transformed into a space where emotions took center stage. With musical selections from Nina Simone, Luther Vandross, Michael Jackson, James Brown, and various others. Every dancer, from our Starlite beginners to our most seasoned Young Star performers, gave their all—sharing their artistry, discipline, and courage with every step.
For the Love of Humanity 2 wasn’t just a performance. It was a reminder of who we are and what binds us together despite the skin color. Through powerful choreography and intentional storytelling, each piece spoke of compassion, strength, and the unifying power of humanity. The show reflected our shared experiences—the highs, the lows, the struggles, and the resilience of the human spirit.
Our dancers told stories that touched hearts and stirred emotions. There were moments of stillness and moments of soaring energy—moments that made the audience pause, reflect, smile, and even shed a few tears. Whether it was through graceful ballet movements, grounded and poised contemporary movements, or rhythmic and energetic expression through hip-hop, each dancer contributed to a performance that felt honest, necessary, and healing.
We are immensely proud of every student, parent, instructor, volunteers and stage crew member who helped bring this vision to life. Your commitment to excellence, your vulnerability on stage, and your love for the youth created something truly meaningful.
To the families, friends, and supporters: thank you for believing in our mission. Thank you for showing up, cheering, and sharing this moment with us. Your support is what keeps our community thriving for thirteen seasons and counting.
And while the curtain has closed on Season 13 For the Love of Humanity 2, a new chapter is just around the corner. We invite you to join us once again for Season 14, beginning this October, where we continue the journey of growth, leadership, discovery, and artistic purpose.

For the Love of Humanity 2 was one of the best productions FTLOD has put on to date! After being a part of the FTLOD family for over six years, this particular show felt like a journey that we were invited to be a part of. The music selections were phenomenal, and the dancers gave an amazing performance.
There’s something so special about watching the end-of-year production, knowing the dedication, time, and love that went into it—from the students, the FTLOD staff, and the families who make it all possible by showing up and getting their kids to every rehearsal.
A few years ago, Paris said, “This isn’t a recital, it’s a production!”—and she was absolutely right. FTLOD delivers a true production every time.
We’ll definitely be back for another season, and I’m excited to witness not only my daughter’s continued growth but also the evolution of the school as a whole. FTLOD has something special, and we’re so grateful to be part of it!
