Mackenzie Leger is a passionate dance educator committed to shaping the next generation of strong, expressive, and well-informed dancers. She brings a philosophy to the studio that honors both the artist and the athlete, believing that true dancers are created at the intersection of technical precision and emotional depth.
Originally trained with a deep focus on anatomical alignment and injury prevention, Mackenzie equips her students with tools that not only elevate their technique but also support long-term career sustainability in today’s competitive dance industry. Her mission is rooted in empowerment through education—ensuring dancers not only move beautifully, but understand the “why” behind each movement.
With a classroom approach that’s intentional, inclusive, and deeply reflective, Mackenzie develops lesson plans that build progressively, emphasize repetition for long-term retention, and support every learning style. Her ultimate goal is for each student to discover their unique voice through dance, explore their artistic identity, and step confidently into their growth both on and off the stage.
Inspired by her own dance journey and the educational gaps she experienced prior to college, Mackenzie now teaches with clarity and compassion—passing on knowledge that was passed down to her, while leaving space for her students to create something entirely new.
At FTLOD, Mackenzie is honored to continue the rich legacy of movement, mentorship, and meaningful education that has defined the studio’s purpose. She sees dance not only as an art form but as a powerful tool for shaping the confidence and self-belief of future generations.
