A vibrant and thriving dance school is seeking a warm, organized, and energetic Part-Time Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment for everyone. This role involves a combination of customer service and administrative duties, perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting surrounded by children and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet students, parents, and visitors with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Assist parents with class information, registration, and payment processing.
  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly, providing accurate information about schedules, events, and school policies.
  • Manage student check-in and attendance tracking.
  • Coordinate with instructors and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Update bulletin boards and distribute flyers about upcoming classes, performances, or events.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, scheduling, and filing.
  • Address parent and student inquiries or concerns with patience and professionalism.
  • Organize and maintain files, records, and office supplies.

Qualifications

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles, especially in child-centric environments, is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment with children and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.

Workdays

  • Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, with flexible scheduling options.
  • Occasional weekend hours may be required for events or performances.
